Dr Shepherd picks through the facts surrounding Elvis Presley's demise at his Memphis home in August 1977 at the age of 42. He hears testimony from the singer's childhood best friend, his cousin and his private nurse, as well as the medical facts from the autopsy report. Elvis' post-mortem revealed that in the final years of his life, nearly all of Presley's vital organs had grown to twice the size they should have been. Additionally, his system was full of prescription drugs. Dr Shepherd examines how these and other factors occurred in Presley's life and later contributed to cardiac arrhythmia.
