Vermont is one of America’s most beautiful states. Running through it are The Green Mountains, from Massachusetts to the border with Quebec in Canada. The mountains encompass a two hundred- and seventy-three-mile hiking route called the Long Trail which was created in 1910. It coincides with the famous Appalachian Trail, another tranquil, scenic walking route on America’s East Coast. But the Long Trail is the route-of-choice that we are focusing on in this story.
