How did propaganda become marketing history.

When Max Weber, German sociologus and German sociologist came up with the term propaganda from the Greek phrase "praopagos", the word means "to speak well", the term was first used. The word came from the Latin verb "propere," meaning "nearby" or "at hand," and the noun "agogos," meaning "speech or discourse." It is a systematic attempt at shaping attitudes and behaviors.

In his book "Propaganda," published in 1928, British journalist George Orwell wrote: "To understand the true nature of propaganda, we must realize that it is not the intention to make people believe anything; it is only the intention to change their beliefs...It is intended to make them accept one thing rather than another."

Edward Bernays (1891 –1955), who was Sigmund Fréud's nephew. The psychoanalyst and nephew of Sigmund Freud became famous after he invented "public relations" back in 1922.
