Frequently Asked Questions

What are some lessons learned from history?

These are the three most important lessons that history has taught us. The first is that you have to do it yourself if you want to change the world. The second is to ensure that people are ready to accept change in their lives. The third thing you must do to improve the future is to first change how people live.

The first lesson is that there are two ways to change the world. One is fighting for it, the other is creating it. You can lose sight of the reason you started fighting.

You can't control how people react to your ideas, but you can control how you present them. If you attempt to convince someone of something, you'll fail. If you try to convince someone to do something, you will fail.

People had an idea, and they decided to take action. This is how most great movements started. No matter whether you are creating change, or reacting to it. Here are three ways you can make your mark: Be clear about the things you want, be honest with where you came from, be courageous enough to go where no other person has gone before, and be clear about who you are.

The second lesson is that we all have a choice. You can either let your life happen or you can choose to make it happen. This means that we have to decide what kind life we want. Are we willing to wait for someone to allow us to live? Or do we want to take charge of our destiny?

I'd argue that we're living in a golden age right now. We have more opportunities than ever before which is creating excitement. People feel empowered, which is exciting.

This creates a problem. It's difficult for people to know exactly what they want or how to achieve it.

For example, let's say you want to buy a house. You could wait and see if someone gives you Home Depot gift certificates. You could also ask yourself "What would you love to do?" Look for a job which allows you to do that. Apply for financing.

Now, let's say you wanted to travel the world. The question you might be asking yourself is "Where do I want go?" Then, you'd start saving money, researching countries online, talking to friends, etc. Then, you book a trip.

Let's suppose you don't know what you want. In this case, you'd probably end-up doing one of the things. But by asking yourself questions like this, you increase your chances of getting what you want. It may seem silly, but it works.

And the third lesson is that no matter what happens next, you can always improve the future. This is because it's simple. Your choices influence who you are and what you become.

It is important to take inspiration from past experiences, learn from mistakes and succeed until you are successful.

If you don’t feel you have any value to the world, you are already behind. You must believe that you are capable of doing more than you thought possible.

Don't worry if you don't know where you should start. Start small and move on. Take stock of the lessons you've learned in your entire life. What are you most proud of? What have you succeeded at? How have you overcome obstacles?

Last but not least, remember that no one can stop you from reaching your full potential. No matter what others say, you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to.

Benjamin Franklin wrote, "Nothing works unless you do."

What can we learn from history to avoid repeating past errors?

History repeats itself, because we continue to make the same mistakes repeatedly. We fail to learn from the mistakes we make. We don't change. We become complacent. We settle for mediocrity.

History also repeats itself because we keep believing the same old stories. Our world is conditioned to believe there are immutable laws and fixed truths. They cannot be changed.

This keeps us from being able to think critically. It prevents us from questioning authority. By challenging assumptions. We don't grow if we don’t question. We stagnate if we don’t move forward. We repeat the same mistakes when we stagnate.

Because we make the same mistakes, history doesn't have to repeat itself. History repeats itself because we refuse to learn from our mistakes and instead continue to make the same ones over and over.

You can end the cycle of history repetition by changing the way that you view the world. By understanding that nothing is permanent, you can see the possibilities. Nothing is permanent. All things are in constant flux.

Accepting uncertainty is the key to breaking this cycle. Accepting the possibility of things going wrong. To accept the possibility of failure. Accepting that failure is possible.

Accept that your goals may not be achieved. But to accept that, you should strive to improve anyway.

You will always remain stuck in the past if you hold on to certainty. If you insist on the existence of fixed truths, then you will never move forward.

Freedom is only possible if you are willing to let go. If you want progress, you need to let go of control.

What can we learn from Abraham Lincoln?

Abraham Lincoln said, “I am slow to understand; very fast to forget.”

He was aware of the importance to continue learning, knowing that there would be a time when he would have to relearn his old habits and adopt new ones.

The same holds true for our businesses. No matter how much we plan for success in the future, there will always be times when we are unable to move forward and end up stuck in a rut.

It's important to keep learning and growing. We must never stop learning, even after reaching the top of our success.

Lincoln was the right person. He knew that he could improve his business' effectiveness, but he couldn’t stop learning.

There are two types. There are two types: those who stay active and those who stay informed.

Those who stay active focus on growing their business. They focus on customer service and marketing strategies.

They may feel like they've accomplished something meaningful, but often they're missing the mark. Unless these entrepreneurs are also focused on staying smarter, they won't achieve sustainable growth.

What separates successful entrepreneurs from average ones? You are able to adapt quickly to changing conditions.

Successionable entrepreneurs look for ways that they can improve their products or services when faced with difficult situations.

However, the average entrepreneur will stick with outdated methods that do not work. They don't want to change until the business goes under.

You must be able to master both self-reflection and adaptation in order to succeed.

What do our mistakes teach us?

You can learn from your mistakes. That means you'll learn something. But more importantly, when you make a mistake, you can change it. You shouldn't stress about the small details. We all make mistakes.

You might feel embarrassed if you've made a mistake, but it doesn't matter whether you feel bad. It's how you deal with your mistakes that matters most. They will eat at your soul if you allow them to bother you. But if you view them as opportunities for growth, you'll come out stronger on the other side.

Recognize and move on from a mistake. This is the best way to learn from it. Focus on the next step and don't dwell on the past. Keep moving.

Don't obsess over your mistakes. Instead, try to find ways to improve. Learn from your mistakes and become better tomorrow.

Successful Inventions made by accident

Inventors make errors. However, the way we react to those errors will determine whether our inventions turn out to be great successes or failures.

There are no accidental inventions. Every invention was planned. There are no accidental inventions.

An invention is a deliberate act. It is an intentional decision to create something. It solves a problem. It makes someone's life easier.

However, the key to creating a successful invention is understanding how nothing happens by accident. Instead of trying to avoid making mistakes, learn from them.

Invention is not easy. Invention takes persistence and hard work. It's not a quick fix. It takes time.

This means that you need to spend lots of time thinking about solutions and ideas. What is it that people are most concerned about? What are they looking for?

These are the questions you need to ask. Questions that will help you figure out what kind of product or service you should develop next.

You must let go of all preconceived notions. All assumptions about the world's wants and needs. You must listen to your customers and potential clients.

You must find out what they want. They are not what they say they want.

Once you know what your customers want, it is time to create a way for them to get it. That's where invention begins.

How To

The Suez Canal Changed the World

The Suez Canal was built in 1869 by Ferdinand de Lesseps, who wanted to connect Europe and Asia through his project. To do so, he had the Isthmus of Suez (the narrowest part) built to allow ships to cross from Europe to reach India. This process required building a series of locks and dams along the way. He traveled to Egypt several time, where he worked with Khedive Ismail Pasha on financing the project. He returned to France and found that Napoleon III was dead. The Second Empire had taken over the project. It took him three more years before the French government approved funding the project. After the British had been defeated at the Battle Of Omdurman during Sudan War, 1859 saw them sign a treaty which allowed them to enter the Red Sea through the Suez Canal. It was completed in 1869.

This project was instrumental in opening up trade routes and increasing international commerce.

In addition, people can travel much more quickly than ever thanks to the Suez Canal. Before the construction of the Suez Canal, it took weeks to cross Isthmian Peninsula. It now takes days. People could visit Paris, London or Rome without the need to cross dangerous storms or endure long sea voyages. In addition, the Suez Canal shortened the distance between North America and Europe by almost 3,000 miles, making it easier for people to move back and forth. These features made the Suez Canal a major transportation project.

The Suez Canal caused problems as it divided the Ottoman Empire in two, ultimately leading to the First World War. During the war the British used Suez Canal in an attack on Germany. But the Germans attacked Britain using their canal version. Although the Suez Canal fell under Egyptian control at the end of World War II, the British maintained their control over the land to either side.

After the Second World War, the Suez Canal remained an important part of global trade until the Arab-Israeli conflict began in 1948. Both sides didn't want to fight each other initially, as they were afraid the other might use force. Israel took over the Sinai peninsula of Egypt from Egypt in 1967. In that year, all shipping except military vessels was prohibited from the Suez Canal. The four-year-old closure ended when President Sadat reopened Suez Canal to civilian traffic in 1972.
