Medjugorje, Fatima and Knock: for the faithful they are places of pilgrimage, but for psychical researchers they are shrines of controversy. The programme visits many shrines where visions of the Virgin Mary were apparently seen, including Fatima in Portugal where appearances took place as long ago as 1915. Clarke will examine testimonies from people who have seen visions in situations far removed from religious settings.
