In this edition, they head to Scotland to discover that the Romans did not stop at Hadrian's Wall, but pushed deeper north to build the most heavily fortified border in the whole of their empire. The Antonine Wall is a piece of Roman history that many have never heard of. As the stunning aerial photography reveals, this 40-mile long fortification is perhaps the finest Roman frontier ever, lying 100 miles north of the more famous wall built by Hadrian. Using the evidence gathered by Ben's eye in the sky, Bettany pieces together the remarkable story of an emperor's lust for glory and the sequence of events that caused this remarkable feat of construction to be abandoned after just 20 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who was the original person to have said that historical people don't learn.

While we all would love to live in an ideal world that everyone learns from past mistakes, it is not possible to learn from our own mistakes.

It's not better to try something wrong than to learn how to do it right.

The biggest mistake you can make is not ensuring that it goes right the first and only time.

As long you keep making adjustments, you'll eventually see the reason you made them.

You may even find that you could do it better the second time.

However, that doesn't mean you should not try again. It means you've learned a lot.

While you may not be able avoid making mistakes, there are ways to minimize them. This is the difference between success, and failure.

Recognizing your mistakes is the first step. Look at your mistakes objectively, and then ask yourself: "What lessons have I learned?"

When you're open with yourself, you will see that your failures are not failures. They can be used as opportunities to grow.

Thomas Edison was the victim of this fate. He failed many more times before he invented the lightbulb.

He didn't let his failures discourage him. Instead, he used each one as an opportunity to improve his design.

He also invented the most widely used form of lighting, which is still in use today.

So, if you fail, don't get discouraged. Learn from your mistakes. These are your opportunities to learn.

Then, try again.

What is the greatest thing about history?

This question is not easy to answer. Learning is about three things. We must first realize that knowledge is power. Second, knowledge is cumulative. Third, knowledge is constantly changing.

Knowledge is power. It allows us to make better decisions, and improve our lives. We would not have any trouble making decisions if our information was perfect. We'd do what we want, without worrying about whether it was correct or not.

Knowledge is not only power but also cumulative. This means that we add knowledge to our brains every time we learn something. As time passes, we get smarter and smarter. Knowledge accumulates.

Let's now turn our attention to the third. Although knowledge is cumulative, it doesn’t stay static very long. Information is constantly changing. Scientists learn new facts and theories every day. Discoveries are made all the time.

Technology allows us to quickly access knowledge, and is crucial for our culture. Technology allows us to save vast amounts data and share it between millions of people across the globe.

Globalization has transformed the way we see technology and knowledge. Globalization is the process by which ideas and products spread across borders. Globalization has made knowledge accessible to everyone.

The internet allows anyone to access information any where in the world. You can watch movies, browse the internet, listen or play music and read books. All of these activities require knowledge.

Knowledge is becoming more accessible but also more specialized. Today, there are thousands of websites providing advice on topics such a health, finance, business and cooking. These websites provide information on just about every topic.

You'll find only a few sites that offer automotive-related services or products if your goal is to purchase a car online. There are many sites that cover every topic, but you will only find a few websites that focus on cars.

This specialization is because experts in particular fields can create and distribute valuable knowledge. Experts often have a deep knowledge of a particular area. Experts are also skilled at producing content that is relevant to their target audience.

Consumers will appreciate this specialization because they won't have to go through tons of irrelevant information. Instead, they can rely on a limited number of websites that offer lots of valuable content.

Experts also benefit from specialization because they can build strong businesses around their expertise. He expects the author of a book to have a thorough knowledge of his subject to provide a clear and concise explanation. He wants to be sure that the author understands what he is trying to communicate.

Experts who do not specialize risk losing potential customers.

There are many areas of expertise. Nowadays, specialists are not limited to one area. One might be an accountant, lawyer, doctor, teacher, or other specialist. Not only are we likely to be a parent or spouse, but also friends, family, and fans.

Specialization is so common that some experts argue that it's impossible to succeed without being an expert in several different things.

How do you become an expert on multiple subjects? You can do it by practicing. You've got to put in the hours necessary to learn something. You can make great progress if you continue to work until people recognize you.

There are whole industries dedicated to helping others reach this goal. People can quickly learn through courses, workshops seminars, conferences, schools and other venues.

What are some lessons learned from history?

Three lessons can be learned from history. First, you must do it yourself when you change the world. You must make sure people are ready to change the way they live. Third, the future must be better if you want to change it.

The first lesson is to recognize that there are two options for changing the world. One is to fight to get it. The other is to create. If you fight for it you lose sight on why you started to fight.

It is impossible to control how people respond to your ideas. However, it is possible to control how you present them. If you try to convince someone, you will fail. But, if your goal is to inspire someone to act, you'll be successful.

Great movements were born out of an idea that was realized and then taken action. Whether you are creating change or responding to it, these are the three best ways to make your mark. Be clear about what is important to you, be open about where you came from, and dare to go where no one else has.

Second, we have the ability to choose. We can either wait for our lives to happen to us, or we can choose to make them happen. This means we must decide what kind of life we want to lead. Are we willing to wait for someone to allow us to live? Do we want to control our destiny?

I believe we are living in a golden era. There are more possibilities than ever before, which has created a lot of excitement. People feel empowered to create their futures, and that's exciting.

It also presents a problem. It's difficult for people to know exactly what they want or how to achieve it.

For example, let's say you want to buy a house. You could relax and hope that someone will give you a gift voucher to Home Depot. You can also ask yourself: "What would my dream job be?" Next, find a job that allows you to do this. Next, apply for financing.

Let's suppose you want to travel the globe. The question you might be asking yourself is "Where do I want go?" You might then start saving money and researching other countries online. You'd then book a ticket.

Let's assume you didn't really know what you wanted. You would most likely do one of these things. Asking yourself these questions will increase your chances of getting the results you desire. It may seem odd, but it works.

The third lesson is to never lose sight of the possibility of improving the future. It is easy to see why. Our choices shape who we are and who we become.

The trick to success is to look back at history and learn from their mistakes and successes.

If you don’t feel you have any value to the world, you are already behind. You must believe that you are capable of doing more than you thought possible.

If you don't know where to begin, start with what you know. Start small and move on. Think about what you've learned throughout your life. What have your failures been? What are you proud of? How did you overcome obstacles?

Don't forget to remember that only you can limit your potential. No matter what others say, you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to.

Benjamin Franklin once said that "Nothing will work without you."

What can our mistakes teach?

You can learn from your mistakes. This means that you will learn something. However, it is possible to correct a mistake. Don't fret about the little stuff, because mistakes are okay. All of us make mistakes.

You might feel embarrassed if you've made a mistake, but it doesn't matter whether you feel bad. It is how you deal and learn from your mistakes that matters the most. You'll be unable to deal with them if they become a problem. You'll be stronger if you see them as opportunities to grow.

It is important to recognize and learn from your mistakes. Focus on the next step and don't dwell on the past. Keep moving.

You don't need to dwell on your errors. Instead, look for ways to improve yourself. Learn from your mistakes and be better tomorrow.

Successful Inventions Made By Accident

Inventors make errors. However, how we react to these mistakes will determine whether or not our inventions are great successes.

There are no accidental inventions. Every invention was done intentionally. An accidental invention is not possible.

An invention is a deliberate act. A deliberate decision to create something new. A solution to a problem. Something that makes life better for someone.

To be successful inventing is to understand that nothing happens by chance. Instead of trying avoidable mistakes, learn from them.

Invention is not easy. It takes hard work and perseverance to invent something. It's not a quick fix. It takes time.

That means that you will have to spend much time thinking about issues and new ideas. What are people concerned about? What do they require?

Ask yourself these questions. These questions will help to determine the type of product and service that you should be developing next.

To do this, you have to put aside any preconceived notions. Don't make assumptions about what people want or need. You need to pay attention to the needs of your potential customers and customers.

Learn what they really want. You must learn what they really want.

Once you have figured out their needs, you need to find a way to make it happen. Here's where invention really begins.
