For many of us, one of the worst things imaginable would be for one of our loved ones to go missing. The unknown, the uncertainty, and the prolonged hope are all a recipe for the heartache that comes with losing a loved one and not knowing if, or just how, temporary it may be. News reports, leaflets, and community searches can still sometimes pull up short. For most, this is a horror beyond what we could imagine, though of course not all disappearances are as they may seem.
