Frequently Asked Questions
What are three things you can learn from history?
There are numerous examples throughout history that demonstrate how we can learn and improve from our mistakes. They can be applied to today's business challenges.
The past teaches us that there is always another way to do things. There are always people out there who think outside the box and take risks that make them stand out.
History also shows that sometimes it's the underdogs who triumph. Look back at the times when an underdog won.
You can learn from the past, and bring those lessons into the future. Learn from others' successes and failures.
Use these lessons to help you improve your success rate.
What are some lessons from history?
History has taught us three important lessons. First, to truly change the world, one must take responsibility for it. The second is to ensure that people are ready to accept change in their lives. Third, the future must be better if you want to change it.
The first lesson is that there are two ways to change the world. One is to fight for it; the other is to create it. If you fight for it you lose sight on why you started to fight.
While you cannot control their reactions to your ideas or how they present them, you can influence how they are presented. If you try and convince someone to do something, it will be a failure. If you try to convince someone to do something, you will fail.
The idea of a great movement was born when someone had it and took action. Whether you are creating change or responding to it, these are the three best ways to make your mark. Be clear about what is important to you, be open about where you came from, and dare to go where no one else has.
Second, we have the ability to choose. We can either wait for our lives to happen to us, or we can choose to make them happen. This means that we have to decide what kind life we want. Do we expect someone else to let us live? Or do we want to take charge of our destiny?
I believe that we are living in the golden age. This is a time of great opportunity, which creates a lot excitement. People feel empowered to create their futures, and that's exciting.
It also presents a problem. It's difficult for people to know exactly what they want or how to achieve it.
For example, let's say you want to buy a house. You could wait and see if someone gives you Home Depot gift certificates. You can also ask yourself: "What would my dream job be?" Look for a job which allows you to do that. Final step: Apply for financing.
Now let's imagine you wanted to travel around the world. The question you might be asking yourself is "Where do I want go?" You'd then begin saving money, researching different countries online and speaking with friends. Then, you book a trip.
Let's assume you didn't really know what you wanted. In this case, you'd probably end-up doing one of the things. By asking yourself such questions, you increase the likelihood of getting what your heart desires. It may seem odd, but it works.
The third lesson is the ability to always improve the future, regardless of what happens next. It's easy. Your choices determine who you are and who you become.
The trick to success is to look back at history and learn from their mistakes and successes.
If you don’t believe you can offer anything, you’re already behind. You must believe you are better than you think you are.
Start with what you already know. Start small and move on. Take stock of the lessons you've learned in your entire life. What have you failed to do? What are you proud of? How did you overcome your obstacles?
Don't forget to remember that only you can limit your potential. No matter how much anyone tells, you can achieve anything you set your mind.
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Nothing will work unless you do."
What can our mistakes teach?
When you make a mistake, don't worry about it too much because it's a learning experience. You'll learn something. But more importantly, when you make a mistake, you can change it. Don't fret about the little stuff, because mistakes are okay. We all make them.
Even though you may feel embarrassed after making a mistake it doesn't mean you have to feel guilty. It's how you deal with your mistakes that matters most. If you allow them to get in the way of your growth, they will eventually eat away at your inner self. If you look at them as opportunities for growth, they'll make you stronger.
The best way to overcome a mistake is to acknowledge and move past it. Do not dwell on it. Instead, look ahead to the next step. Keep moving.
Don't obsess over your mistakes. Instead, try to find ways to improve. Learn from your mistakes and become better tomorrow.
Successful Inventions Made from Accident
Inventors make mistakes. However, how we react to these mistakes will determine whether or not our inventions are great successes.
There are no accidental inventions. Every invention was done intentionally. There is no such thing a accidental invention.
An invention is a deliberate act. A deliberate decision to create something new. Something that solves an issue. Someone's quality of life will be improved.
To be successful inventing is to understand that nothing happens by chance. Instead of trying to avoid mistakes, learn from them.
We would love to tell you that invention is simple, but it's not. Invention requires hard work and persistence. It's not a quick fix. It takes time.
That means you must spend a lot of time thinking about problems and ideas. What are people concerned about? What are they looking for?
You have to ask yourself questions like these. These questions will help to determine the type of product and service that you should be developing next.
To do this, you have to put aside any preconceived notions. Don't make assumptions about what people want or need. Listen to your potential and current customers.
You must find out what they want. Not what they tell themselves they want.
Once you have identified what they want, the next step is to design a way that you can give it to them. Here's where invention really begins.
How to Learn Easily from Human History's Victories and Failures?
It doesn't matter if history repeats itself. It doesn't take much time at all to learn from the mistakes of human history. Just make sure you are not repeating them yourself!
The key is to take what worked in the past and learn from it.
This can be accomplished by reading books and case studies about successful companies over the years.
By doing this, you can draw inspiration and avoid the same pitfalls they did.
You can also study examples of businesses that have gone bankrupt. Why did they fail. Is there a common theme among these failures. These insights will help you avoid costly mistakes.
You can also read about historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, John D. Rockefeller and Steve Jobs. They had some of the most impressive resumes in the world, yet none knew how to manage people or run a company. If you want to learn from the mistakes they made, it is important to understand why.
The bottom line is that learning from the victories and mistakes of human history is easy. You just need to spend a few moments every day reflecting on what worked in the past, and then finding ways to apply them today.

How To
The Suez Canal Changed the World
The Suez Canal was built in 1869 by Ferdinand de Lesseps, who wanted to connect Europe and Asia through his project. To do this, he built a canal across Isthmus of Suez. It allowed ships from Europe to travel to India and China. This involved the construction of several locks, dams and tunnels. He traveled to Egypt several time, where he worked with Khedive Ismail Pasha on financing the project. But, upon his return to France, it was discovered that Napoleon III has been overthrown and the Second Empire has taken over, with no interest in such a large-scale project. It took him three years before the French government agreed to fund the project. After the British had been defeated at the Battle Of Omdurman during Sudan War, 1859 saw them sign a treaty which allowed them to enter the Red Sea through the Suez Canal. It was completed in 1869.
The project opened up trade routes to increase international commerce and helped many countries develop around the world, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and South Africa.
The Suez Canal also allowed people to travel faster than ever before. It used to take weeks or months for people to cross the Isthmian Peninsula before it was constructed. Now it takes just days. People could visit places like Paris, London, Rome, and Constantinople without going through long sea voyages and dangerous storms. The Suez Canal also reduced the distance between North America, Europe and almost 3,000 miles, making it much easier to travel back and forth. These benefits made the Suez Canal one the most important transportation projects.
Unfortunately, the Suez Canal created problems for the Ottoman Empire by dividing it into two parts. This eventually led to the First World War. During the war, Britain used the Suez Canal for its attack on Germany. The Germans attacked Britain using their version. The Suez Canal was re-established under Egyptian control. However, the British held the land on either end.
After the Second World War, both sides continued to trade through the Suez Canal until the Arab-Israeli War in 1948. Both sides were initially reluctant to oppose each other because they feared the other would use force. Israel took over the Sinai peninsula of Egypt from Egypt in 1967. In that year, all shipping except military vessels was prohibited from the Suez Canal. The four-year-old closure ended when President Sadat reopened Suez Canal to civilian traffic in 1972.
