I believe we are living in a golden era. There is more opportunity than ever, which makes it exciting. It's exciting that people feel empowered and able to create their futures.
It also presents a problem. It's difficult for people to know exactly what they want or how to achieve it.
Let's take, for example, the desire to purchase a house. You could either sit back and expect someone to gift you a Home Depot gift certificate. You could also think about what you would love to do. Look for a job which allows you to do that. Next, apply for financing.
Let's pretend you want to travel all over the globe. You might ask yourself, "Where do I want to go?" The next step is to start saving money, research countries online, talk with friends, etc. Finally, you would book a plane.
Now, let's say you didn't know what you wanted. You would most likely do one of these things. You can increase your chances to get what you want by asking these questions. Although it may sound silly, it is effective.
The third lesson is to never lose sight of the possibility of improving the future. It's easy. Our choices shape who we are and who we become.
So the trick is to use history as a guide, to learn from others' mistakes and successes, and keep improving until you succeed.
If you don’t believe that you have anything to contribute, then you are already behind. You must believe you are better than you think you are.
Start with what you already know. Start small and move on. Reflect on the lessons that you've taken from your experiences throughout your life. What have you failed to do? What have you succeeded at? How have you overcome obstacles?
Don't forget to remember that only you can limit your potential. No matter how much anyone tells, you can achieve anything you set your mind.
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Nothing will work unless you do."

Knowledge is becoming more accessible but also more specialized. There are hundreds of thousands upon thousands of websites today offering advice on topics like health, finance and business, as well as sports, travel, and cooking. These sites offer information on nearly every topic possible.
If you want to buy a car online, however, you will likely only find a few dozen websites that provide automotive-related services. Instead of thousands of sites covering every possible topic, there will be only a handful of sites that are focused on cars.
Experts in specific fields are able to create and share valuable knowledge. Experts often have a deep knowledge of a particular area. They're also able to produce high-quality content that's targeted toward their specific audience.
Consumers will appreciate this specialization because they won't have to go through tons of irrelevant information. Instead, they can concentrate on a few sites that have lots of useful content.
Experts can also benefit from specialization as they are able to build strong businesses around what they know. When someone buys a book, he expects the author to know his subject well enough to write a clear and concise explanation of the material. He expects the author to understand his message.

Specialization isn't limited to just one area. Many of us today are specialists in many areas. We might be an accountant, a lawyer, a doctor, or a teacher. But we're also likely to be a parent, spouses, friends, and fans.
Experts argue that specialization is so common that it's impossible for one person to be an expert in all aspects of the same thing.
So how can you become an expert across multiple fields? It's simple: practice. You've got to put in the hours necessary to learn something. You can make great progress if you continue to work until people recognize you.

What You can learn from Nintendo's Weird, Wonderful 125 years
Fusajiro Youchi of Kyoto, Japan established Nintendo in 1889. Its headquarters moved to Osaka, Japan in 1933 and Honshu, Japan in 1945. Nintendo created its own internet service provider, "NIC", in 1996. This company later changed its name to Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 2001.
In 2004, Nintendo introduced its first Wii console. This console was very popular. The Wii used motion sensing technology, and the Gamecube controller. Nintendo has released many titles since then, including Mario and Zelda.
2002 saw the release of the GameCube console. It was the successor to the GameBoy Advance. The GameCube Controller looked similar to the Gameboy Color but had four buttons instead of two analog sticks. The Nintendo DS was introduced in 2004. The touchscreen interface was complemented by a stylus. There were three types: one had a camera built-in, another didn't have one, and then there was a third model that came with a stylus, but with a camera built-in. The Nintendo DS Lite came out in 2005. The original Nintendo DS Lite had a larger display. The Nintendo 3DS was first released in 2011. It comes with 3D graphics. Each month, the system comes with a brand new game. They also offer 2D versions of some 3D games.
Nintendo also produces handheld consoles like the Super NES, SNES Classic Edition and N64.
Nintendo has also made many different types of controllers. These include the GameCube Controller (pictured), the Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller (pictured), and the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.
There are many well-known characters from Nintendo. Mario, Yoshi and Link are just a few of the many famous Nintendo characters.
