The densely populated jungles and forests are still somewhat of an enigma. Each year scientists and researchers travel to these regions in the hopes of understanding what once stood there, and using new technology such as lidar, it's allowed us to uncover some incredible discoveries, including things like long forgotten settlements and pyramids. The fact that these regions are able to hide such megaliths in the modern day is incredible, and just shows us that we still have a lot to learn.
