In the last video we met 6 living former monarchs who chose to retire, hand their thrones to their children and enjoy their golden years. But not all living former monarchs chose to get off the throne, some were pushed off. In the 20th century, 28 national-level monarchies across the world were abolished. Their former sovereigns were downgraded, exiled or even executed. As the majority of these revolutions and coups happened in the first half of the century, few ex monarchs are still alive today. Their children and grandchildren carry on defunct royal dynastic lines and, if they’re lucky, enjoy what’s left of their ancestors’ glory, palaces, and fortunes. Today there are only 4 living former monarchs who lost their thrones when their monarchies were abolished. All of their reigns ended and one began in bloodshed. And one managed to return to his former Kingdom and be democratically elected Prime minister. Let’s meet them!
Jamshid bin Abdullah, Former Sultan of Zanzibar
Simeon II, Former Tsar of Bulgaria
Gyanendra, Former King of Nepal
Fuad II, Former King of Egypt and the Sudan

Frequently Asked Questions

What can our failures teach us?

When you make a mistake, don't worry about it too much because it's a learning experience. You'll learn something. Even more important, you can correct any mistakes you make. You shouldn't stress about the small details. They happen to all of us.

It's okay to feel embarrassed about a mistake. However, it doesn't really matter if you feel ashamed. It's how you deal with your mistakes that matters most. If you let them bother you, they'll eat away at you inside. However, if they are seen as opportunities for growth you will come out the other side stronger.

The best way to overcome a mistake is to acknowledge and move past it. Do not dwell on it. Instead, look ahead to the next step. Keep moving.

Do not obsess about your mistakes. Instead, look for ways to improve yourself. Learn from your mistakes, and you will be a better person tomorrow.

Successful Inventions made by accident

Inventors make mistakes. But how we respond to those mistakes determines whether our inventions become great successes or failures.

It is a fact that invention does not happen by accident. Every invention was designed. There is no such thing as an accidental invention.

A deliberate act of invention is called an invention. A deliberate decision to create something new. Something that solves the problem. Something that makes life better for someone.

However, the key to creating a successful invention is understanding how nothing happens by accident. So, instead of avoiding mistakes, focus on learning from them.

Although it would be nice to think that invention is easy, it's not. Invention takes persistence and hard work. It's not a quick fix. It takes time.

You will need to spend a lot time thinking about ideas and problems. What do people care about? What do they require?

You have to ask yourself questions like these. These questions will help to determine the type of product and service that you should be developing next.

To do this, you have to put aside any preconceived notions. Any assumptions about what the world wants or needs. Listen to your potential and current customers.

You have to learn what they want. You must learn what they really want.

Once you have identified what they want, the next step is to design a way that you can give it to them. Here's where invention really begins.

What is the most valuable thing that you have learned in history?

There isn't an easy answer to this question. However, there are three main points to consider when thinking about learning. First, we need to recognize that knowledge is the power of learning. Second, it is important to recognize that knowledge is cumulative. We must also be able to appreciate the speed at which knowledge can change.

Knowledge is power. It empowers us to make better choices and improve our lives. We wouldn't have any problems making decisions if we had perfect information. We would always do what we want without worrying about if it was right or wrong.

Knowledge, although it is power, is also cumulative. This means that we add knowledge to our brains every time we learn something. As time goes on, we become smarter. Knowledge accumulates.

Let's now look at the third. While knowledge is cumulative, it doesn't stay static for very long. Knowledge is always changing. Every day, scientists discover new facts, theories, and ways of thinking. There are always new discoveries.

Our culture is dependent on technology that allows us instant access to information. It is possible to store large amounts of data digitally and share it with millions of people around the world.

Globalization is changing the way that we view technology. Globalization refers the process whereby ideas and products are spread across borders. Because of globalization, knowledge is now accessible everywhere.

Internet access allows anyone to find information from any part of the world. You can surf the internet, read books, listen to music and play video games. All of these activities require knowledge.

Knowledge is becoming more accessible but also more specialized. You can find thousands of websites that offer advice on subjects such as finance, health, business, sports, and travel. These sites have information on every topic.

If you want to buy a car online, however, you will likely only find a few dozen websites that provide automotive-related services. There will not be thousands of sites that cover every subject. You'll only find a handful of sites that specialize in cars.

This specialization is because experts in particular fields can create and distribute valuable knowledge. Experts often have deep knowledge of a field. Experts have the ability to create high-quality content specifically for their audience.

Because they don't have to look through tons of unimportant information, this is a good thing for consumers. Instead, they can concentrate on a few sites that have lots of useful content.

Specialization is also a benefit for experts, who can create strong businesses around their expertise. If someone purchases a book, they expect the author to be an expert in his field and to present a clear and concise explanation. He expects the author to understand his message.

An expert who does not specialize risks losing out to potential customers who expect him be knowledgeable.

It's not necessary to be a specialist in only one area. Today, most of us are specialists in many different areas. One might be an accountant, lawyer, doctor, teacher, or other specialist. It is also possible to be a parent, spouse, friend, or fan.

Experts say it is common to specialize.

How can you become an expert in multiple fields? It's simple: practice. You have to put in the time to learn. Once you've made progress, keep going until people are able to recognize your knowledge.

There are many industries that help others achieve this goal. Some courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and even schools teach people how to gain knowledge quickly.

How can you easily learn from the mistakes and victories of human history?

It doesn't take long for history to make a comeback. It doesn't take much time at all to learn from the mistakes of human history. Just make sure you are not repeating them yourself!

The key is to take what worked in the past and learn from it.

This is possible by studying books about leadership and managing strategies as well case studies of successful businesses that have been around for decades.

You'll be able draw inspiration from their success and avoid the common pitfalls that they fell into.

You can also look at examples of businesses which have been bankrupt. What made them fail? Do these failures have any common themes? These insights can help you avoid making costly mistakes.

Finally, read about notable historical figures like Abraham Lincoln and John D. Rockefeller. Although they had the most impressive resumes, none of them knew how to manage people or run companies. It is essential to learn from their mistakes in order to gain valuable lessons.

Learning from human history's mistakes and victories is simple. You just need to spend a few moments every day reflecting on what worked in the past, and then finding ways to apply them today.

What are three things that you can learn from the past?

There are numerous examples throughout history that demonstrate how we can learn and improve from our mistakes. They can be applied to today's business challenges.

The past teaches us that there is always another way to do things. There is always someone out there who thinks outside the box and takes risks that make them stand apart.

History shows that the underdogs are often the ones who win. Look back at the times when an underdog won.

Look back on the past and learn from it. Learn from the mistakes and successes of others.

These lessons will help you increase your success rate.
