Atomic Bombs | Unexpected Impacts and Consequences

There are many mishaps in the use with atomic bombs. Some effects are worse than others.

Walter Gregg Jr was lucky, the Atomic bomb, that fell in his garden was not loaded, so it only caused a lot of damage, but nobody died.
Often people were not aware of the effects. For example the Movie "The Conquerer" was filmed in a nuclear contaminated desert. Bud Myers (one of the few survivors) reports how all his colleagues died of cancer.
Also atomic tests on animals, which were supposed to be harmless to humans, left their mark. Claudia tells her story about the underestimated impact on her family.
Another accident happened in Greenland. A plane with an atomic bomb on board crashed into the snow - this time the bomb was loaded. There still is nuclear contaminated snow.

"In the spirit of Dr. Strangelove, a blackly sardonic people’s history of atomic blunders and near-misses revealing the hushed-up and forgotten episodes in which the great powers gambled with catastrophe. The film tells stories such as that of the accidental drop of a nuclear weapon on the house of train conductor Walter Gregg, the perilous shoot of a John Wayne movie in a
radioactive canyon and the loss of four hydrogen bombs in Greenland."
